To upload a photo from your PC for editing, click the 'Browse...' button and choose a file using the standard file chooser, then click 'upload'. Large images will be reduced in size.
To edit a photograph which is already online, enter the URL (address) of the image and click the 'fetch' button. Please ensure that the image URL is correct. Alternatively you can use one of the bookmarklets described in the 'Help' section.
If you make a mistake while editing - don't worry - you can revert back to the previous state of the photo by clicking the 'undo' button.
Think your photo looks better with that change after all ? Just click 'redo' to re-perform the previous operation
You've lovingly tweaked your photo to perfection. Now save it to your Computer for safe-keeping by clicking 'Save'.
Some effects are applied to the entire image while some ('interlace' for example) are only applied to the selected area. Click this button to select the entire area. The selected area (width by height) is displayed in bold when the entire photo is selected.
Pressing 'unselect' will unselect any area you previously selected. For some operations (for example 'Interlace'), the entire image will be changed if no area is selected.
Sometimes you just have to take a closer look. This feature comes in handy when you want to fix red eye. Zoom in to the effected area to select the pupil and surrounding area then click 'redeye'. Also useful for fine-grained selection. Zooming does not change the size of your photo - to resize your photo click 'resize'

Cut your photo down to size before your printer does! The aspect ratio of your camera may not match your printer's aspect ratio.
This can result in missing heads and relatives when you go to print your photos. Avoid disappointment by cropping your photos to match your printer. Various pre-defined aspect ratios are provided for your cropping pleasure.

Size isn't everything. If you feel differently, you can make your photo bigger or smaller to suit your tastes.
You can change the brightness, saturation and hue of your photos. Make dimly lit indoor shots look brighter ! Make dull flat colors sing!
'Red-eye' occurs when photographing in low-light or indoors.
Fixing red eye is PXN8's raison detre. Select the area around the eye and click 'redeye' then click 'apply'. Repeat for each affected eye.
Not everyone has a set of brilliant whites. Now they can - and cheaply too!
Select the off-white teeth (use the Zoom tool if needed) and click 'whiten'. Voila - perfect whites!
'Interlace' adds TV scan lines to your photo. The resulting image looks like a TV still.
Blur is useful for toning down unwanted blemishes. Select the area that needs 'soft focus' and click blur.
My personal favourite. The lomo effect adds a soft dark halo around your photo - it can also make colors more vivid. It's cheaper than buying a Lomo camera.
